AHC Hours
Blue Cross Coverage for Seniors
If you are turning 65 this year, you may be eligible for Blue Cross Coverage for Seniors.
To register, please bring in valid Proof of Age documents to our office. Acceptable documents include:
- Alberta driver’s licence
- Alberta identification (ID) card
- Birth certificate
- Old-age pension entitlement form
- Passport or immigration record
- Canadian citizenship certificate

Name Changes
Airdrie Registry can assist you with name changes on your AHC account and documentation for events such as having a new baby, getting married/divorced/separated, legal name change, and more:
Marriage
If you were recently married and are changing your last name, you and your spouse need to come in with valid Photo ID along with a valid marriage certificate or Alberta Photo ID/DL with the new name.
If schedules conflict, one spouse can come in to pick up the paperwork, take it home to be signed by both parties, then return to our office to complete the process
New Baby
Bring in your valid photo ID and your baby's birth certificate to update their name. If your child was born in Alberta and is 6 months or younger, a birth certificate is optional (but preferred).

Do I need to update my address if my Doctor's office has my new address?
Yes. Clinics and hospitals cannot update your Alberta Health Care profile information.
I am new to Alberta, but my spouse already has Alberta Health Care. Do I fill out a new application?
No, your spouse (and you) need to fill in an ADDITION form (found here).
